Treats in the Streets
Halloween—but make it Meatpacking! 🎃 Join us for Treats in the Streets, where the whole family (yes, even your pup!) can enjoy fall festivities. Expect candy, games, live music, and the 6th Annual Doggie Costume Contest! Stores and restaurants across the neighborhood will be open, offering special goodies and surprises at every stop. Stroll through the district to fill your bags with festive delights from participating businesses.
DAYLONG ACTIVITIES & ENTERTAINMENT
Explore various engaging games and activities around the neighborhood, including pumpkin ring toss, pumpkin tic-tac-toe, and corn hole. Be sure to also enjoy the scheduled events below:
Gansevoort Plaza
11 AM – 6 PM: Soak in the vibrant atmosphere of the plaza while listening to live performances from Jammcard musicians
Little West 12th Street
11 AM – 6 PM: Immerse yourself in two captivating Halloween vignettes designed by Theresa Rivera, bringing the spooky spirit to life along Little West 12th Street
11:30 AM – 12 PM: The Old Yew Plant Shop Workshop

Create, plant, and take home your plant & pot combination with The Old Yew Plant Shop! At this plant potting workshop, The Old Yew’s experts will walk you through plant selection, pot pairings, and a step-by-step, hands-on guide to potting plants with fresh soil. You will discuss ongoing care, watering, fertilizing, pruning, and future repotting. You can also ask any care questions about your current plants at home.

11 AM – 6 PM: Stroll down Washington Street to admire the chic, custom-designed scarecrows crafted by Theresa Rivera
Gansevoort Street + Ninth Avenue
2 PM: The Meatpacking District’s 6th Annual Doggie Costume Contest. Registration will open on Tuesday, October 15 at 10 am. The grand prize is a one–night stay in a Standard King room at The Standard, High Line
West 13th Street
11 – AM – 5 PM: Get creative with pumpkin painting, perfect for kids of all ages
11 – AM – 5 PM: Unleash your imagination by designing and decorating your own Halloween mask with guidance from artist Lauren Weinstein
12 – 12:15 PM: The Culture Tree Storytime Reading of Elephant and 5 Blind Men
12 – 2 PM: The Culture Tree Art Activity – Kids make and decorate their elephants, using their imagination and getting inspired by the elephants around them.
12:45 – 1 PM: The Culture Tree Storytime Reading of Lai-Lai the Baby Elephant
1 – 4 PM: Clayscape Creation with Greenwich House Pottery
