🐕 Dog-Friendly: Well-socialized dogs that are people- and dog-friendly are welcome! All pups must be leashed and up to date on vaccinations per NYC law.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention & Paws for Prevention Walk

This show is partnering with the New York City chapter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and supporting their third annual Paws for Prevention Walk, taking place on the Coney Island Boardwalk on May 2nd.

Our pets are walking with us to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide! We are excited to host tons of fun events for you and your dogs, such as games, a costume and trick contest, and live dog portrait painting! We will also have coveted raffle items available to enter for a chance to win! Don’t own a dog and are looking to adopt one? Our friends at Best Friends Animal Society NYC are joining us with some of their adoptable dogs! This is a non-competitive Walk and will be roughly the length of a 5K. Walkers and their pets are encouraged to walk at their own pace.

AFSP is dedicated to saving lives and bringing hope to those affected by suicide. AFSP creates a culture that’s smart about mental health by engaging in the following core strategies: funding scientific research, educating the public about mental health and suicide prevention, advocating for public policies in mental health and suicide prevention, and supporting survivors of suicide loss and those affected by suicide.
