Dogs Day of Summer at NYRR Open Run

To celebrate New York City’s furry friends and give community members a free opportunity to exercise with their pets, New York Road Runners is hosting a series of Dog Days of Summer events at Open Run sites across the city.

The series kicks off in Manhattan’s Inwood Hill Park on Saturday, June 22 at 9:00 a.m.

Community members – and their dogs – will participate in a fun 2.5-mile run/walk to get their steps in, enjoy the summer weather, and make new friends. The New York City Community Emergency Response Team (NYC CERT) will also be onsite to provide emergency preparedness tips to pet owners.

NYRR Open Run offers weekly fun runs and walks at neighborhood parks across the five boroughs for people of all ages, abilities, and paces.
