Greenpointers Open Air Fair: Pet Weekend
Pet Portraits: Wow wow wow, or maybe bow wow wow is more like it?!! Illustrator @libbyvanderploeg and New Yorker cartoonist @cartoonsbyhilary will be doing live pet portraits for this special episode of @openairfair dedicated to Greenpointers’ love for Pets!
Dog Pool and Cooling Station: All weekend (Sat & Sun, August 5+6) there will be no shortage of free fun activities for your furry friends – @jojopetclub is bringing doggie pools, a cooling station, photo booth, mini agility training, free treats, and more!
Adoption Event: Don’t have a furry friend yet? On Saturday, @muddypawsrescuenyc and @RescueCity will bring over 35 dogs and puppies available for adoption. On Sunday, @WaldosRescue will be on site with animals looking for happy, healthy, loving homes.
Kid-Friendly: For the littles, STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) -based preschool @amazingexplorerswilliamsburgis hosting special activities for kids including “pet adoption” with stuffed animals and other animal-themed sensory workshops. Plus @bklynlibrary Kidsmobile is bringing animal-themed books, crafts, and story time!
Get a portrait, get a dog, get both, or just come make a pup’s day more special with some love and attention.
As always, @junxionnyc will be on site soundtracking the day’s festivities, face & body painting, yoga, and a belly dancing workshop. There will also be plenty more human-friendly treats from our diverse offering of food vendors, plus vintage wares and other unique gifts for sale.
