Turkey Trot Pack Walk & Celebration
Walk Together, Grow Together: Turkey Trot Pack Walk & Celebration! 🦃
Get ready to strut, trot, and gobble! Join us as we organize a festive autumn pack walk through @prospect_park We’ve partnered with the incredible folks at the Dog Mayor of NYC and the Prospect Park Alliance to bring our wonderful community together for a Thanksgiving-themed celebration.
Since our theme is a Turkey Trot, we are highly encouraging both humans and pups to wear your silliest, most festive turkey hats (or costumes)! Let’s fill the park with feathers and fun! 🦃
Here’s what’s on the schedule:
* Turkey Trot & Strut: Show off those turkey hats and costumes on a leisurely, festive walk with the pack!
* Celebrate Our Caninedidates & Leaders: Meet and celebrate our NYC Dog Mayor caninedidates, along with our newly elected Mayor and Deputy Mayor! Let’s give them a big round of applause (and barks).
* A Very Special Birthday Song: It wouldn’t be a party without a celebration—November 8th happens to be one special pup’s actual birthday! We’ll be singing a big “Happy Birthday” together (with dog-friendly treats, of course).
* Caring for Our Shared Spaces: Prospect Park Alliance will be walking with us and sharing why it is so important to keep our beautiful, shared natural spaces clean and trash-free, especially as we gather for community events. Let’s show our park some love and leave it better than we found it!
* Photos by Aunt Hilda along the walk and photo keepsakes to take home 🌳💚
