Our pets are walking with us to save lives and bring hope to those affected by suicide!

Please join us for the first-ever NYC Paws for Prevention Walk at Coney Island’s Steeplechase Pavillion!

We will have fun events for pets and owners, competitions for best dressed, best trick, and more. We will also have treats, water stations, and plenty of shade for your pets.

Every dollar raised goes towards AFSP’s research, education, and advocacy suicide prevention efforts, as well as support for those affected by suicide. Learn more about what our NYC chapter is doing at afsp.org/NYC.

Register by March 31st to receive an early-bird Paws for Prevention treat bag that we will have waiting for you at check-in!

This is a non-competitive Walk and will be roughly the length of a 5k. Walkers and their pets are encouraged to walk at their own pace.

Walkers agree to only bring their pets if they are 100% capable of controlling their pet. Pets must be leashed and under control at all times. Owners must clean up after their pets and dispose of any refuse. All pets attending must be up to date on rabies vaccines and all other NYC vaccination and medical requirements.

AFSP NYC Chapter Staff and volunteers reserve the right to ask any attendees to leave the event if their pet is posing a danger to those at the boardwalk.
